We have all been touched by cancer in one way or another.
Everyone knows at least one person who has cancer or
has had cancer. The ACS estimates that more than 1.3
million Americans will be diagnosed with cancer in 2004,
and about 564,000 people will die of the disease. Anyone
can get cancer at any age; early detection is the key
to beating cancer. Stephanie Starks HOPE Foundation
Cancer National Initiative Fund is designed to empower
individuals nationwide with the knowledge they need
to save their lives. To alert women and men of their
risk of cancer, educate them on cancer, and provide
and direct them to effective approaches to the early
diagnosis, treatment and prevention of all cancers.
Stephanie Starks HOPE Foundation is committed to saving
lives by raising awareness and funds for the millions
of women and their families at risk for or who are fighting
cancer. Our goal is to inform as many women as we possibly
can and to advance leading-edge science by supporting
the efforts of the nation’s foremost investigators
and advocates of cancer research.
