Upon learning that there was a third hurricane headed
toward the state of Florida and a fourth, Jeanne, on
the horizon, Stephanie Starks Hope Foundation contacted
Kathleen Pirozz from the Salvation Army Disaster
Relief in Florida to see how we could assist
this community in their time of devastation. Kathleen
informed me that the magnitude of their need is great.

Update
- September 27, 2004
Stephanie Starks Hope Foundation would like to thank
all the individuals who banded together through these
unfortunate times to lend a helping hand in aiding the
residents of Florida that have been affected by the
onslaught of hurricanes. On Saturday, September
18 and 19th, countless individuals showed up
with bags full of items to send off to the Salvation
Army Disaster Relief Florida. On Wednesday September
22, 2004, we loaded 10 Pallets of Food
Boxes that will feed a family of 4 for 1 week, 1 Pallet
of personal hygiene items, 25 boxes filled with can
meats, men's and women’s personal hygiene items
and so much more, into the Farwest Freight Trailer.
On Friday, September 24, 2004 City to City Moving
and Farwest Freight picked up the trailer and
began transporting it to Florida. Right now as you are
reading this page, our donation is making it’s
way across the United States with a guaranteed delivery
date of Thursday, September 30, 2004
to the Salvation Army Disaster Relief, Florida. This
would not have been possible without the help of our
corporate and not-for-profit corporations and the many
individuals that showed their concern by making generous
donations and sponsoring Project Give Hope™. This
donation is especially in need because just this week
Hurricane Jeanne inflicted havoc on the Florida East
Coast.
As these storms rage on and continue to
wreak a path of destruction we have to continue with
our efforts. Project Give Hope™
is not a one-time-feel-good effort, it is a
commitment to the communities affected by these hurricanes
to aid them to best our ability. As Florida
continues to get ravaged by these hurricanes we will
continue to aid the Salvation Army Disaster Relief.
